Fall 2025 TCA e*Train

Clear the Line—#York55 Is Coming!
Autumn has a way of shifting gears in our hobby. The pace of summer shows and conventions gives way to a different kind of excitement—show season. And this year, as we prepare to get Yorkin’, York is more than just another meet on the calendar. October 2025 marks the 55th year of York Train Fairs, a milestone that speaks to the dedication of our members and the enduring strength of the TCA community.
Since our last issue, I’ve been fortunate to stay busy on several fronts, both online and in person, as we head into this historic fall.
Building for the Future
A big part of my time has gone into strengthening TCA’s digital reach. Over the past few months, I’ve stepped fully into my roles as Webmaster for both METCA and the Eastern Division. That’s meant more than just redesigning websites—it’s been about keeping content fresh, improving accessibility, and making sure our members can quickly find what they need.
I’ve also been working closely with the Eastern Division to prepare for #York55, helping coordinate a broad social media push under the #York55 banner. The goal is simple: build excitement, spread the word, and make sure every member and guest feels the buzz around this anniversary fair.
On the Ground
While much of my work has been online, I’ve also kept a foot on the meet floor. Regional events in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York have been a great reminder of what keeps this hobby thriving—new friendships, familiar faces, and younger collectors finding their way into TCA. These shows may not grab national attention, but they are the backbone of our community.
National Connections
On the national side, I continue to partner with Art Ricciardi and the TCA social media team to share stories from across the Association. Every post, photo, and highlight reinforces the same message: our community is vibrant, welcoming, and full of life. That’s something worth celebrating—especially in a year like this.
Full Steam Into York
All of this leads to October. York isn’t just about trains—it’s about the people, the conversations, and the memories made in every hall and aisle. For 55 years, York has brought us together like no other meet can, and this anniversary year will be no exception.
EDITOR’S NOTE: As #York55 approaches, I’d love to connect with you on the show floor. If you see me, please stop and say hello. I’m always glad to talk trains, hear your stories, and share ideas. (If by chance you stumble across a “Fitty Dolla Blue Comet” as you are Yorkin’ this fall, definitely make sure to let me know!)
As always, if you have ideas, questions, or suggestions about how we can enhance e*Train, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to contact me at [email protected], and let’s keep our shared love of trains rolling into an exciting year ahead!
