Review By Bill Meyer

The latest book by Greenberg covers a 9-year period of time known as Lionel Trains Inc. (LTI)

Lionel was purchased from General Mills and later sold to Wellspring Associates.

In this book, there is absolutely no mention, however, of the introduction of Large Scale Trains or the reissue of Tinplate Classics and no listing of accessories either new or re-introduced.

Each chapter should have had their own index. Listing the engine or car by number, road name and year produced; a checklist if you would.

I was somewhat disappointed by the need for color correction on many of the images and the fact that there was not a photograph of every item issued given the limited time frame.

But, if you only collect Lionel trains of the “Kughn Era” 1987-1995, this is the book for you.
