All Aboard The e*Train, fellow train enthusiasts!

I’m Michael S. Oher, your conductor of the e*Train.

Today, I invite you to experience the magic of York! Instead of a traditional written post-York Meet recap, I would like to share the following video with you. It shows all that the York Meet has to offer.

Step into the heart of toy train collecting at the TCA’s October 2024 York Meet! From stunning layouts and rare finds to the camaraderie of hobbyists who flock to York from around the world, this event celebrates everything that makes the Train Collectors Association special. Whether you’re a seasoned collector or just love the nostalgia of model trains, this highlight reel captures the excitement, energy, and joy of York. Stay tuned and relive the moments that made this meet unforgettable – all in a quick, mobile-friendly format perfect for sharing. Let’s keep the tracks alive and thriving for generations to come!

Another video I’d like to share with you highlights the TCA’s own National Toy Train Museum, where history, craftsmanship, and nostalgia come to life! Located in the heart of Strasburg, Pennsylvania, this treasure trove of toy trains invites visitors of all ages to explore the stories, engineering marvels, and timeless joy of model railroading. From intricate displays to rare pieces dating back over a century, every visit promises a journey through time and imagination. Whether you’re a lifelong enthusiast or just discovering the wonder of toy trains, the National Toy Train Museum is sure to be right up your alley. Watch and see why this is more than a museum – it’s a connection to the golden age of railroads and the joys of childhood!

Oh, and another thing. Since taking on the role of editor of e*Train, I’ve begun a tradition of taking a photo with TCA President Kevin Quinn at all of the train shows where we have run across each other. As a fun little relief, I figured I would share those photos moving forward in this column.

As for all of the photos taken to date, here they are:

As future photos join the collection, they will also be added to future editions of this column!

As editor of e*Train, I aim to foster a publication that is both informative and inspiring. The goal is to share YOUR stories. e*Train is YOUR publication, and I’m just here to help get it to “print” as they say in the newspaper business.

In the coming editions, you can expect to see e*Train continue to evolve into a more dynamic and engaging publication. Thank you for your continued support of e*Train. I look forward to hearing from you and continuing to work together with each of you to make this publication the best it can be.

Ever Upward,

Michael S. Oher TCA # 18-73531
