Step 1 of 4: Choose a Membership

Junior Member

For persons joining at any age below 18. At 18, must become Regular Member (at half dues until reaching 24).

Junior members may not hold office, vote, have tables or engage in selling or purchase of toy trains and related items during TCA events, or on the Interchange or TCAbuysell site.

Before your application will be activated, you must submit the written approval of your parent or guardian to join. You may do this by printing out this form and mailing it to Membership, Train Collectors Association, PO Box 248, Strasburg, PA 17579. You may also email a signed PDF of the form to [email protected]or FAX it to 717-687-0742.

1 Year Junior Member: $25.00

Trial Member

This is a non-renewable six month trial membership provided at a reduced cost for NEW members. At the end of the six months, the member must apply for Regular membership. If you are a former TCA member, you cannot choose this option. You will be reinstated at the Standard Paper or Digital rate. Trial Membership is for new members only.

Trial Membership: $20.00

Regular - Standard Paper

This is the regular full membership for those over age 18. (Junior members who upgraded at age 18 to Regular 1/2 dues may select this when renewing after reaching age 24.)

This membership allows, to the extent generally available, for paper mailings of TCA publications, paper voting for national officers, and payment of dues by manual (US Mail or phone-in) methods if desired. This is the traditional, non-digital membership, although access to various digital services may also be utilized to the extent available. Periodic email newsletters and notices are available unless the member has opted out of receiving them, in which case they cannot be sent and paper alternatives are not available.

Trial members must select this upon the completion of their six month trial period, as the trial membership cannot be renewed.

Dues are non-refundable.

1 Year Membership: $50.00

This is the regular, one year, full membership for those over age 18.

3 Year Membership: $145.00

This is the regular, full membership for those over age 18 for three years at a reduced cost.

5 Year Membership: $240.00

This is the regular, full membership for those over age 18 for five years at a reduced cost.

Digital / Paper Free

This is the DIGITAL, full membership for those over age 18. (Junior members who upgraded at age 18 to Regular 1/2 dues must select this or a Regular (paper) membership when renewing after reaching age 24.)

This membership requires the member to access Association publications online, renew their dues online, self-generate their membership card, utilize online voting during elections, and perform all other TCA transactions in a non-paper format when available.

Trial members must select this or the Regular (paper) membership upon the completion of their six month trial period, as the trial membership cannot be renewed.

Dues are non-refundable.

This is the regular, one year DIGITAL, full membership.

3 Year Membership-DIGITAL: $115.00

This is the regular, three year DIGITAL, full membership.

5 Year Membership-DIGITAL: $190.00

This is the regular, five year DIGITAL, full membership.

International - Standard Paper

Trial members must select this upon the completion of their six month trial period, as the trial membership cannot be renewed.

This is the regular, one year INTERNATIONAL, full membership.

3 Year Membership-International: $220.00

This is the regular, three year INTERNATIONAL, full membership.

5 Year Membership-International: $365.00

This is the regular, five year INTERNATIONAL, full membership.

By submitting this application, I hereby subscribe to the purposes, policies and duties of its members as described in the bylaws of the Train Collectors Association™ (TCA). I also understand and agree to the admission procedures. I agree to comply with all of the rules and regulations of the TCA and its Divisions and Chapters in effect from time to time, specifically including all the rules and regulations of all TCA committees and any actions and rulings of all TCA Committees. I also agree that all items sold by me to any TCA Member or at any TCA-sponsored meet shall be sold on the basis that I represent that all such items are authentic and in the manufacturer's original condition unless I have caused any such item to be appropriately marked as a restoration or reproduction. By submitting this application, I agree that my membership record will note my agreement as if I had personally signed the application.

Online Voting Opt-In*

On December 1, 2017, all current members' records who had not specifically indicated a desire to vote online were set here to "Opted Out - Prefer Paper" so you may vote for National Officers by mailing in a paper ballot without need to change this field. However, TCA recommends that you select "Opt In for Online Voting" here, saving TCA money and speeding the process. This will assure speedy vote counting in times of delayed US Mail. Then, be sure to keep a current email address on file in your profile above to be able to vote. You may change your choice in the future, but not during an active voting process. Remember to click the orange Save Changes button at the bottom of this page to record your selection.

Allows you to Opt Out of US Mail delivery of Train Collectors Quarterly and some issues of National Headquarters News, in cases of multiple members at same address sharing or desire to rely on electronic copies available on website. Each member's US mail is determined through their own account's setting. Essential mail such as annual ballots will be provided to all members regardless of this setting.
